Country Critters.....we went to Country Critters with the Parenting Center on Friday and had so much fun. It is a petting zoo/playground and the Easter Bunny came too. Luke was sorta freaked out by the animals, but he did great. He actually fed rabbits and baby goats. I'll admit I was alittle freaked out too. The animals are anxious for you to feed them so they are alittle aggressive towards each other. I was afraid one was going to accidentally bite a finger or something while we were feeding them. Needless to say , we did have a great day. Nini came too. We will definitely have to go back again when he is older.

FEELING BETTER!!!! Luke's fever turned into a bad cold which he gave to me and I gave it to Jim. It was the WORST cold I have ever had!! Luke and I are almost well and feeling much better. Jim ,on the other hand, isn't feeling so hot. Since we were sort of held up at home while we were recovering we took lots of walks with our new wagon and played outside at home. Here are some pics..............
He REALLY enjoys the wagon- what kid doesn't , right??
Playing in our new sandbox from Papa and Nini- Poor Luke is playing in his sandbox with measuring spoons and tupperware. I need to get him some real toys. He loves it anyway and cries whenever I take him out to go inside.

He really likes playing with playdoh too and as long as I keep a nuk in his mouth he won't try to eat it!

OUR FIRST FEVER! Luke got his first fever this weekend. At one point it got up to 102.6. We gave him Tylenol and then Motrin. His fever is gone , but now he has a runny nose and a cough that sounds terrible. Jim brought him to the doctor Saturday morning ( all by himself so I could go to a class at Church) and the doctor just told us to suction him and use saline drops. Luke LOVES to be suctioned- just kidding- it's the most traumatizing thing EVER!!! Needless to say I'm only doing it if it's absolutely necessary. He is not sleeping great because of the cough and he has been very clingy. He just does not feel well. Poor Baby! It is the worst to see your kid sick- even if it's just a little cold.

ONE YEAR CHECKUP!! Luke just had his well baby visit a couple of weekes ago- he is 23.10 lbs and 30 1/2 inches tall. He's a little on the petite side, but we don't mind. He isn't walking yet, but he is really starting to cruise alot more and he has let go and tried to take a few steps towards me. He is eating everything in sight and is talking constantly. He says DADA to Jim and DUCK and TRUCK and he has recently started saying MAMA. He loves ducks. He can point out the duck in the book BROWN BEAR, BROWN BEAR and he is obsessed with his bathtub duck. He is changing so fast- can't wait to see what happens next!
